William Strosnider

Dr. William (Bill) Strosnider is an Ecological Engineer who serves as the Director of the Center for Watershed Research & Service as well as Associate Professor of Environmental Engineering at Saint Francis University. In addition, he is the Director of the Project for the Restoration of Rio Juckucha, in Bolivia. Bill’s focus is the application of renewable energy and material resources to better integrate human society with the natural environment.

His emphasis has been identifying water quality issues and advancing sustainable engineering solutions to improve human and ecosystem health. He has substantial and formative service, research and engineering experience in the developing nations of Bolivia, Peru, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Haiti. Since joining Saint Francis University in 2010, Bill has been the lead or co-author of over three dozen water quality degradation and/or water treatment studies presented at various international, national, and regional conferences as well as produced twenty refereed journal articles. Much of his research and extension work has centered around the characterization and treatment of acid mine drainage in various sites in the United States, China, and Bolivia.
